Ribbons and Roses Book Page Wreath ...

A close-up of my paper roses. What do you think?

Some different paper flowers-- rosettes this time--, the roses, ribbon and lace flowers, and some little polymer flowers that I had on hand ...

The bottom end of it. Finishing touches courtesy of some cute buttons my mom gave me awhile back.

Different angle-- ribbon and book page wrapping makes my heart happy. It's hard to tell, but the ribbon layered on top of the book page strips has a damask print on it ...

It was hard to get a good picture with my little camera; I'll try and post a better one later. Still, I'm thrilled with how it turned out. It makes my heart happy every time I look at it. It turns out that my fingers knew how to capture "me" after all ...

LOVE it, Jaymie! It is you all over! You are amazingly talented!!

Thanks, Kelley! I glued paper strips together and then used lots of hot glue as I twisted them. It's a little hard to explain. I'll see if I can put a tutorial together.

Melissa, thanks so much. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Your paper roses are lovely!

Your flowers turned out so nice. I tried to make something similar the other day and it just looked like a wad of trash...can't wait for a tutorial!

I love how you did that. I am going to remember this and try to make a wreath that will fit into my home and bring out a little of me. I may need some help with the roses, I am rose challenged. I will also need help with tearing a book apart. Even if I don't like the book, I have a hard time with ripping one apart. Please help :)

Hilary, I have to be honest and say that I had a couple that turned out pretty awful. It took me a little trial and error, but it worked out okay in the end. Thanks so much for visiting!

Thanks, Rachelle! You bring me the book and look the other way. I'll get you your murdered book pages. It did go against the grain to rip pages out of a book, but it's amazing how much fun it was after the initial shock!

Thanks so much, Sandy Ang!

Such a beautiful wreath. I love the mix of book pages and red. Kinda reminded me of...What's black and white and red all over? A Book...so corny --still after about 40 years!
